A bid for the co-located National Paediatric Hospital of 65,000m2 arranged in four and six storey blocks, accommodated on a proposed site in the grounds of Beaumont Hospital.

The principal site examined is to the south of Beaumont Hospital, within the Hospital grounds.

It has a large campus with significant development capacity, which could comfortably accommodate the new Children’s Hospital, its expansion needs and the development needs of the existing Hospital.

It is conveniently located close to the M50 and M1 motorways and is well served by public transport to and from the city centre.

As the premier academic university teaching hospital of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Beaumont Hospital was well positioned to provide the site for the new Children’s Hospital.
