Cullen Payne Architects are delighted to announce two new management appointments. These appointments recognise the outstanding individual contributions of the personnel involved and gives increased involvement in the management and strategic development of the practice to a young and dynamic team.

Cillian Gray has been appointed a Director of Cullen Payne Architects, having previously held the position of Associate Director since 2022.  Cillian has been a cornerstone of Cullen Payne Architects since he joined the firm and has consistently shown exceptional leadership, setting the benchmark for how we deliver our projects. Cillian has also helped to guide the practice’s transition to the delivery of projects through BIM, developing and maintaining office standards.

Through his wide experience delivering a range of significant projects from specialised healthcare on acute operational hospital sites and community nursing projects in Ireland to multi-residential, commercial and retail projects in Canada, Cillian has demonstrated an ability to guide complex projects from design to completion.

Design led and quality focused with post graduate qualifications in architectural conservation, Cillian brings an experienced and valued voice to the leadership of the practice.

Shane Blighe has been appointed a Director of Cullen Payne Architects, having previously accepted an Associate Director role in 2019.  This promotion is testament to Shane’s hard work, technical excellence, design focus, creativity and his undoubted impact on the work and leadership of the practice.

Shane leads with energy and commitment and has earned the respect of colleagues and clients with his ability to deliver multiple complex projects from design to completion. He has wide experience working on a range of significant projects including concurrent education projects; large retail, residential and mixed-use developments in the UK; and a range of healthcare projects around Ireland, including radiology, rehabilitation, theatres, pathology, mortuary, wards, endoscopy, emergency departments, and residential care.
